Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Hudson, Florida
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent (Contingent)
Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Positions Available: 2

Job Summary

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality care to critically ill patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including test results and assessments
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise in emergency and high-acuity situations
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license
• • If compact license is held, Florida RN license must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Prior acute care nursing experience strongly required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• AHA ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer and documentation skills

Preferred / Additional Considerations

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Candidates with experience in MICU, SICU, or CSU will be considered
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and patient-centered care
